WANT TO PARTY LONGER THAN 5 HOUR’S? – No problem, extra time is charged at $40 per half hour minimum. Our DJ’s are happy to play as long as required after the five hours. This can be decided on the night.
DON’T STRESS ABOUT YOUR MUSIC.
To make organising your wedding easy and stress free we can sit down with you and go through all aspects of music and format from ceremony to reception. This is great if you are unsure on what music to have for those special parts or the best format to suit your time frame. Feel Good Events offers this service free of charge at our office in Ferntree Gully or we can come and see you for a fee of $50. Consultation time is up to 2 hours.
M.C SERVICE
If you want everything to run smoothly and maximize your dancing time then you need a good M.C.When it comes
to an M.C you have 3 choices. 1 – In 95% of cases our clients will ask a friend or family member to act as M.C. We recommend this as it adds more of a personal touch to the duty of M.C as he or she knows you better. 2 – You can get the DJ to do basic M.C duties and he or she will do all your introductions of bridal party, cutting of the cake and speeches. 3 – If you don’t want to leave anything to chance you can hire one of our professional M.C’s who will be at your beck and call looking after both you and your guests needs for the entire evening, making sure nothing gets missed. Don’t miss out on the party side of your reception just because nobody was there to keep things moving.

DJ to M.C – $150
Professional M.C – $80 per hour. (This includes a cordless microphone)
CORDLESS MIC – Great to hire if you have a big venue or the DJ isn’t set up near the bridal table. Keeps things really tidy with no messy cords. Cost – $80
CEREMONY PACKAGE – Feel Good Events can come and play music for your ceremony anywhere, where there is power.

Warning not all D.J Companies are the same!
We have clients telling us all the time how they have had DJ’s before that didn’t play any music that they liked, that they requested songs and the D.J. refused to play them, that they showed up 5 minutes before the party is about to start or even worse the D.J got drunk and started harassing the guests. We get a lot of people ringing up last minute because the DJ is a one man show, got sick or double booked and left them stranded with no entertainment for one of there most important events in there life.
There is a big difference in the service provided by a lot of D.J. companies. Some use old warn out equipment with boring
lighting, poor sound quality with equipment that just looks tacky. Some use DJ’s who haven’t had enough experience and have no idea on how to read a crowd. The biggest complaint we get about other companies is that they didn’t have the music we wanted or they didn’t have the latest songs. So it pays to know what you are getting. The entertainment you hire reflects on you.
HOW TO BOOK YOUR WEDDING AND PAYMENT DETAILS
- To make a booking all you need to do is fill out the booking sheet with all your details and return it to us with a $50 deposit.
- If your wedding is quite a while away and you are still unsure of some of the details please just fill in what you can and we collect the rest of the information closer to the date.
- To pick all your favorite songs, please go to our music list on our web site and pick all your favorite songs on line.
- DEPOSIT PAYMENT – You can pay your deposit by sending us a cheque or money order made out to Feel Good Events.
You can also pay via internet banking or credit card. Banking details listed below. To receive the quoted cash price, the balance must be paid in cash on the night.
- FINAL PAYMENT – Balance of payment can be made prior to the event by the above methods or Cash balance on the night. To receive the cash price quoted balance must be paid at the start of the function in cash. $50 will be added if you wish to pay by cheque on the night. Sorry but credit card payments can not be accepted on the night.
- Booking will only be confirmed when booking sheet and deposit is returned so send it back a.s.a.p so you don’t miss out on your particular datel.

We only require a trestle table and a power point. All other equipment is supplied by us.

We require at least 1.5 meter’s behind the trestle table to comfortably do our job.

We do not insist that the D.J is provided a meal, but some food and non alcoholic beverages would be much appreciated as the D.J, is there for longer than your guests.

Venues
Small venues work better every time. They create a lot more atmosphere even if you have a small number of guests. Big venues will kill it every time if there isn’t a lot of people. If you have a large venue chosen, look at how you could make it smaller with the option of opening it up when more people arrive. Bigger isn’t always better.
From experience count on about 20 – 30% of your guests not coming. This is not the case if it is a wedding.
When setting up your venue try and keep the following in mind:
At most parties a large number of people will congregate around the bar. Try and place the D.J. and dance floor in close proximity to the bar as it will keep your party together and quite often people will spill onto the dance floor and get your party started quicker.
If you are not having a sit down dinner, try and keep chairs and tables to a minimum. This will encourage people to mingle and make it feel more like a party. Cocktail parties tend to work better for this reason.
If you are having a sit down dinner, arrange your table settings so that older family and friends are furthest away from the D.J. area. This will keep your older guests happy.
With most venues having banned smoking, it has the potential of splitting your party. If possible try and keep the smoking area close to the party so that your smoking guests aren’t gone for too long.
Lighting
Lighting is very important. If it is too bright people will be reluctant to dance. Try and have dull lighting to start with and then make it darker when you want the dancing to start.The lighting we provide will create the perfect party atmosphere. If you are trying to create a certain theme please let us know so we can give you advice on the best package to pick for your party.
Unless you don’t really want a party atmosphere we strongly recommend that you book a package with lighting. People will very rarely dance under normal house lights and we only recommend the basic package for daytime functions.
Music Selection
Music selection is the most important thing in creating an atmosphere for dancing. When choosing your music try and keep in mind what music your guests will like. This will keep everyone happy. The broader your music selection the easier it will be to please your guests. To choose your music you can go to our web site and pick all your music on line. We suggest you pick as much music as you like so that we have a good range to choose from. On average the DJ would play about 75 to 80 songs in a 5 hour function. If you are not fussy about music the dj will play what he or she knows usually works best.
All our D.J.’s are fully experienced and have played at 100’s of different functions, so they are experienced at reading a crowd. When our D.J.’s are working at your function they will use your music selection and peoples requests to try and keep the dance floor full.
If you are really fussy about what music you want you can either be really specific about what you want and when or if you want your music selection played in a particular order maybe a Jukebox would be a better option. If you would like to bring some of your own cd’s to be played on the night that is fine and the DJ will be happy to play them. Our music list is just a general guide and isn’t everything that we have. All of our DJ’s have what’s on the list and more. If you are after a particular style of music played for the majority of the night, please let us know so that we can send one of our specialist DJ’s to your function.
Format
From experience we find the earlier you have your formalities completed the quicker the dancing will start. If you have your speeches later in the night, dancing will need to be stopped making it harder to get everyone going again.
Some people will wait until the speeches have finished and leave. If you have your speeches early, people will tend to stay on after the speeches as it is still early and once they start dancing and enjoying themselves will want to stay until late.
