Australia’s Largest & Most Successful Wedding Expo returned to Melbourne in August 2018.
The Bridal & Honeymoon Showcase was held at the Royal Exhibition, Carlton between the 18th & 19th August and showcases products & services from some of Melbourne’s top wedding suppliers.
For this years event we went with a more classic and colourful tone. We displayed our NEW Rose Decaled Dining Table which stood around our White Tiffany Chairs. Crockery, glassware and cutlery were placed on the table and a Candle Tablescape finished the look.
Our White Dance Floor didn’t miss out on the theme which also got a rose decal makeover. Our Decaled Mirror & Easel was out on display along with Silver Lanterns and Candelabras which stood on our White Plinths.
Our TV cycled through images of previous weddings we have helped decorate and furnish while our white Chiffon Draping softened the overall look of the booth.
We also had the pleasure of supplying the White Velvet Draping in the VIP runway viewing area.
We kept the tradition and ran a $3,000 hire & styling competition. With plenty of entries and plenty of enquiries, it was a successful event.
Behind The Scenes
We arrived at approximately 3pm on the Friday 17th. Access into the space was slightly more difficult than previous areas due to renovations happening nearby. Our team of 4 split into 2 teams of 2. 1 team focused on decorating our booth with the other team focused on getting the draping up in the VIP and Entrance areas. We completed the installation at 6pm that night.
Day1 - A slow start to the day which may have been a result of the wind, rain and cold temperatures. As the day went on it picked up in numbers and we had a steady stream of brides stopping to look and enquire about our products and services.
Day2 - More brides and grooms came out for the expo today. We heard from couples which were only there to gather up ideas and others needing last minute products.
Bump out began at 4pm Sunday and took approx 2 hours to pack down all the drape, decor and furniture and have it all loaded into our truck.
