Bridal & Honeymoon Showcase is Australia’s largest bridal expo. It was made even bigger this year due to the event celebrating their one millionth guest and offering FREE standard tickets to all who pre registered.
Melbourne’s event was held on the 19th & 20th August at the Royal Exhibition Carlton. Feel Good Events were lucky enough to be provided with a 6x6x3m L-Shaped space where we showcased Rustic and classic wedding decor and equipment.
We also ran our own competition exclusively for expo attendees – offering a $3,000 styling package.
Our soft white velvet draping was also used to provide a backdrop to showcase the amazing dresses worn during this years Logie Awards.
With hundreds of entries and plenty queries, the expo was a huge success for us.
About the day
Bump In began at approximately 3:30pm Friday 18th with 4 of our staff installing the velvet draping on one side of the Exhibition Building which would be used as a backdrop behind the showcase of dresses worn during this years Logie Awards. Our efforts then shifted to our exhibitor's booth. Multiple trips were required to bring all the furniture and styling equipment. We completed our initial setup at approximately 7:30pm.
Day 1 began with some finishing styling touches to the decor and florals before the event doors opened to the public at 10am. There was a steady stream of attendees throughout the day and at times found our team of 2 found themselves overwhelmed by a number of people queuing various equipment and decor items we had out on display.
Day 2 was much the same and by the end of the 2 days we had spoken to many brides-to-be. Some with their wedding around the corner and just at the event for last minute inspiration and others which were in the very early stages of planning thier wedding.
2 of our expert installers met our exhibitors at 4pm Sunday afternoon for bump out. The whole process took slightly longer than 3 hours only due to having to battle for parking space with other exhibitors.
The expo was a huge success.
