Note: A 3m width will give a luxurious “gathered draping” effect. Width & Height can be adjusted to suit your event space. Not all colours are available in all sizes. The actual colour of draping may slightly differ from images due to the lighting in your event space.

FAQ's

How do the velvet drapes hang up?

Our velvet drapes have been manufactured to fit on our free-standing rigging which is supplied by Feel Good Events and is included in the price of the hire.

Is the price for the drape only or does it include all the rigging?

The price includes the drape AND the rigging (crossbar, upright poles, base plates & shot bags)

Are the drapes adjustable in height and width?

Height: The default height of the velvet draping is 3.5m. This provides a small “gather” of the drape on the floor. If you do not wish to have this “gather” and would prefer the velvet drape to be even with the floor (or higher to show a gap) then the height can be adjusted accordingly. [Be aware that our upright poles have a height limit. We have different variations. Please refer to this page and make our staff aware of the required height when booking to ensure we allocate the correct upright poles]. Width: The width can be adjusted depending on how “gathered” you want the drape to be. We recommend a 3m width which provides a luxurious gathered look. We suggest nothing smaller than 2m or wider than 3.5m.

Do I have to use lighting with the drape?

No, you don’t have to use lighting with the drape but it does enhance the look of the velvet drape. You can make the velvet drape a feature wall when used with lighting. There are various types of lights available to hire depending on your requirements and budget. Visit our mood lighting section on our website for ideas.

Is there a cleaning fee?

A cleaning fee will apply if draping is being set up on a dirty ground or exposed to the elements. For example warehouse’s, barns, or outside undercover. The cleaning fee starts from $25 per drape depending on how dirty.

Can I use the velvet drape outside?

No, the velvet drape can only be used inside.

Can the velvet be used on existing/clients own rigging?

We do not allow our draping to be placed on rigging or crossbars which are not our own. All our drape is made custom to our rigging. Using rigging which is not designed for the drape may reduce the integrity of the draping and may cause damage to the drape, the rigging system, and/or the venue’s property.
