At Feel Good Events, we help you throw the kind of party people talk about for years. Not because of the decorations (although they’ll look amazing), but because of how the event made everyone feel.

We’re a full service event decorating and planning company based in Melbourne, specialising in weddings, parties, and corporate events. From big brand activations, wild birthday parties and beautiful weddings, we design every moment using our proven Feel Good Formula. Our Feel Good Formula is a method built to create atmosphere, energy, and connection.

We’re not a DIY hire business. We do everything for you from design, delivery, setup, pack down. This means you can actually enjoy your own event without the stress.

History

Feel Good Events was founded in 2008 by Partyologist Marcus Prentice, who is still the current owner. Feel Good Events was started with the aim of offering a better party, wedding, or event experience through next level decorating and planning. 

Originally starting as a small hire business, the company expanded over the years to include full-service event planning, on-site styling, and a large inventory of decorating products for all types of events. With literally 1000s of events under our belt, we have helped hundreds of thousands of Melbournians celebrate, party, have fun, and Feel Good.

Our Story

Why We Started, and Why it Still Matters

Feel Good Events began with a simple but frustrating realisation that most events look great in photos, but don’t always feel that great in real life. We kept seeing weddings that were styled beautifully, but lacked fun. Parties that had plenty of people, but no vibe. Corporate functions that were technically perfect, but emotionally flat.

That’s when we asked the question that still drives everything we do: “What if you could design how an event feels?”

From that moment, Feel Good Events was born, not just as a decorating company, but as a team obsessed with how people experience an event from the inside. Not just the look, but the mood. Not just the checklist, but the energy in the room. 

We started small, with a van full of decorations and a focus on doing things differently. Over time, we built up our own huge inventory of hire products and decorations and developed our own styling method, now known as the Feel Good Formula. We formed a team of party, wedding and event obsessed professionals who genuinely care about your event’s success.

What’s never changed is the mission: To help people throw better parties, weddings and events. Not fancier, not trendier but just more fun, more connected, and more memorable for everyone involved.

What inspired you to start Feel Good Events?

It started with a simple frustration as we kept going to events that looked amazing but felt flat. Pretty styling, fancy venues, but no energy or vibe. That led us to a big question: What if you could design how an event feels, not just how it looks? From that, Feel Good Events was born.

A lot and also not much. We started with a van, a handful of props, and a mission to do things differently. Today, we have a warehouse full of gear, a full time team, and a tried and tested system that’s worked across thousands of events. But what hasn’t changed is our belief that guest experience matters more than anything and that fun should be part of every brief.

Because that’s the goal. Every decision we make from the layout to the lighting is designed to help people feel welcome, excited, connected, and happy. We don’t just want events that impress visually. We want events that people remember emotionally. And we think “Feel Good” says it pretty simply.

We don’t follow trends for the sake of it, and we don’t do cookie-cutter setups. What makes us different is our Feel Good Formula, a proven method that focuses on emotion, energy flow, and atmosphere. We also own all our gear, plan everything in house, and focus just as much on how the event feels as how it looks.

The Feel Good Formula is a method we’ve developed over years of watching how people actually behave at events from where they go, how they move, when they relax, and when they party. It’s built around designing emotional flow, styling with all five senses in mind, and creating layouts that fuel energy and connection. We’ve tested it across thousands of events and continue to refine it every time.

Honestly, we love anything that’s high energy, has some mirror balls, a bit bold and full of emotion. Weddings, milestone birthdays, corporate parties with personality and anything where the client says, “We want it to be fun, stylish, and different.”

Everything we do is custom designed for your event. We don’t offer fixed styling packages because we believe your event should be as unique as your guest list. That said, we do use mood boards and themes to guide your design direction and make decisions faster.

We style and plan:

  • Weddings – ceremonies, receptions, full planning or on the day
  • Parties – birthdays, engagements, baby showers, mitzvahs, NYE & more
  • Corporate Events – Christmas parties, gala dinners, product launches, brand activations, expos, and conferences

Yes. We own all of our hire products including furniture, lighting, props, draping, dance floors, and AV gear. This means better quality control, smoother logistics, and fewer delays because we don’t rely on third party suppliers.

We recommend booking at least 3 to 6 months in advance, especially for weddings or events in peak seasons (Spring and end of year). For smaller parties or off-peak bookings, shorter notice is sometimes possible, just ask.
