Christmas Styling for Far East Consortium
For this year’s Christmas season, the team at Far East Consortium Australia wanted to bring some festive magic to their display gallery at 640 Bourke Street, Melbourne. Our brief? Deliver a Christmas setup that felt polished, immersive, and full of festive cheer. The Feel Good Events team used themed props, drape, lighting, backdrops, and more to bring a festive setup for FEC to life.
The Setup
A Festive Welcome for Guests
As guests stepped into the display gallery, they were met with classic nutcracker figures guiding the way. Rich red scalloped drape lined the walls, adding warmth and drama that immediately set the mood for a Christmas‑themed celebration.
Photo Ops
The styling approach for this event blended traditional festive elements with modern finishes. To set the tone, we installed lush red velvet drape throughout the space, which added softness and a rich pop of colour against the industrial walls. The draping also helped zone different areas and create moments of visual impact.
We styled a large Christmas tree, decorated in classic red, gold, and white ornaments with large red velvet bows and matching wrapped presents at the base. These anchored the space and gave guests those instantly recognisable festive vibes. In the lobby, we set up a Santa’s Mail Station complete with a traditional red mailbox and a seated Santa figure surrounded by gifts, offering a fun and interactive photo opportunity.
Photo Ops
To make the space feel more inviting, we created a cozy corner with a fireplace-themed photo backdrop, complete with stockings, nutcracker props, and a faux flame effect. This backdrop quickly became a crowd favourite for photos.
We also styled an area with a wooden feature wall, layered with garlands, wreaths, and Christmas ornaments. Red velvet drapes framed the backdrop, and warm hanging bulbs created a golden glow that added ambience. This setup was perfect for staff group shots and guest photo ops throughout the event!
The Result
This Christmas install brought a festive atmosphere into every part of the display gallery while maintaining a polished and branded look. Guests were greeted with warm lighting, nostalgic décor, and thoughtful styling details from the moment they walked in.
